All the old romantics out there, Valentines is upon us once more, will you be celebrating this weekend?  Its hard to believe its February already isn’t it, I’m still trying to get myself organised from Christmas, with all the heavy snow effecting business quite badly.  Portrait clients cancelled, album orders and re-print orders were delayed very heavily, so all in all a not a great end to the year.  However, with January over and a time for romance, we dig deep and see what we can offer the locals and beyond.  It wasn’t hard to pull out of the bag my skills as a boudoir photographer and think up some packages.  Well here goes, this is my best offer to date.  Gorgeous Sensual boudoir shoot, with hair and makeup by Victoria Lees, you choose the style, we do the guidance, the posing the lighting, all the techi stuff, hey presto, a beautiful set of boudoir images.  We tend to proof around 30-40 images and beauty edit 10 of them, so you can see the level of editing that would be right for you.  We have some lovely products to present your images in,Love Me Boudoir book, love me acrylic ice, love me tri fold.. Gift ideas

We would like to congratulate Lionie & Daniel on their beautiful wedding that took place at St Cuthbert’s Church, Ormebsy and then off to the beautifulWynyard Hall on the 24th April 2010. What a great day we had with them, Leonie looked amazing and Daniel looked pretty good too.  The luck of the gods fell upon us, the sunshine came out and the day was just perfect.  Such a lovely couple to spend the day with and they certainly know how to enjoy themselves.  Best of luck to the both of them.  Here is a little sneak peak of their beautiful images.

We had the pleasure in photographing the Galley Hill School Ball on Friday evening, held at Gisborough Hall. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the evening.  Here is a sneak from the night.

Had great fun, photographing up and coming band T3C. These young lads have exceptional talent and I’m sure they are going to make it big time. Got some great shots of lads, here they are. Hopefully we have an album cover there somewhere..

Well I can’t tell you how pleased we are at The Image Boutique to have successfully managed our Easter Bunny Photo shoot. The aim of the Easter Bunny Shoot, was to do what we could this Easter to raise awareness for Bunnies and other abused and abandoned animals, so we contacted the RSPCA and asked them if they wanted to be involved. Of course they did and the Great Ayton rescue Centre gave us a collection Jar as they couldn’t spare any staff.

The day was a great success with lots of visitors to our shop. We had 3 bunnies, who were kindly loaned to us by Johns Pets Store over in Middlesbrough. They provided the little bunnies, oh and not to forget a little Guniea Pig for the day. Two fabulous members of their staff came to offer their help too. In fact they were extremely helpful.. We were also loaned 2 bunny costumes, which Paul & Abby from John’s pets, kindly got into. They didn’t need much persuading. They roamed the streets of Guisborough on Saturday handing out bunny flyers. Hopefully you got one.
As we hadn’t ever done a bunny shoot before, we really didn’t know what to expect. We had 5 minute appointment slots, with pre bookable appointments. Come the Saturday we already had about 10 slots pre booked, so were well prepared for a busy day. With me, Tim, Michael, Paul & Abby all at the ready our first lot of customers came in. We had great fun through the day and the bunnies were amazing as were the kiddies. We had a mixed reaction from the children, some were very excited, some were quite shocked. We also had a little visitor in a chicken costume, how cute was he!!
As it happened, we hadn’t quite planned our timings correctly, there was no way we could take photos of Children and animals, edit, proof and print in 5 mins. What were we thinking,Michael??

Anyway, next time will know and there will be a next time. They say never work with animals and children, but we did both and yes it was extremely hard work but worth it.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who donated gifts prizes for the raffle. The raffle went down a storm and we raised over £70.00 for the RSPCA. All of the lucky winners will be contacted this week.

We are now looking for stunning models for our next set of Award images.  If you have what it takes and have experience in modeling then please give us a call.  TFP basis with best models entered into National Photographic Awards, entry images will be used on website, advertising materials and in Shop Window display.

Castings will be held on suitable dates.  If you have previous experience then please bring this along to your casting.  Models without experience will be considered.

Under 18’s will not be considered unless they have parental consent and must be accompanied by a guardian at all a times.

I would just like to say well done to all the winners at the NE Awards at the Hilton Hotel.  We walked away with a Merit Award for Contemporary Portraiture which is a fabulous achievement.  I will be trying again for the National Photographic Awards in October so will keep you all posted.
